War in Ukraine

Our statement on the war in Ukraine

IGC building at Langemarckstraße 113

We are deeply troubled by the recent events in Ukraine and want to express our deepest condemnation of the violence and our strongest solidarity with those who are directly or indirectly harmed by the ongoing attacks.

Momentarily, we do not know how events will unfold in the coming days, but it is already clear that the humanitarian toll, as well as the global impact, will be acutely high. We will do everything in our power to take this into account in respect to the implementation of our study programs and business operations.

As a first result of the incursion, we have decided to suspend all relations with academic institutions in Russia, although we are fully aware that this will also have a negative impact on those lecturers, researchers, and students who are themselves opposed to the invasion. Furthermore, we are vigorously examining the possibilities available to help assist faculty and students from the Ukraine.

We are fully aware that this situation strongly impacts faculty, staff, and students, and especially those with personal ties to the region. IGC considers itself a caring community and we urge everyone to seek out our support during this difficult time. If you need help or aspire to start an initiative to support the Ukrainian people, please do not hesitate to contact us!
