Upon completion of this postgraduate management degree, you will earn your Master of Engineering in Aeronautical Management. You will have high order skills in analysis and critical evaluation. The IGC encourages students to solve complex problems and think independently. You need to hold an undergraduate degree in order to receive admission.

As the language of education is English, very good English knowledge is required. Please be advised that it is possible to complete your degree without any German language knowledge, also the aviation industry is an industry where you can often work in Germany without German skills. You increase though your job chances in Germany with German languages skills and we recommend that you take advantage of our free German courses.

The program begins in the winter semester. The introductory events and courses start at the beginning of October and run until mid-February, so make sure to plan accordingly. The summer semester begins after a short break in March. Starting in July, you can use the lecture-free period to work on your master’s thesis.

Accreditation of our degree programs is very important to us. For this reason, we regularly have our programs reviewed for quality by independent external agencies. The Master of Engineering in Aeronautical Management is accredited by the agency AQAS (Agentur für Qualitätssicherung durch Akkreditierung von Studiengängen e.V.). Since 2002, this agency has accredited most of the study programs at public universities in Germany.

Our classes take place in small groups. The Master in Aeronautical Management is limited even to a maximum number of about 20 students. This gives you the opportunity to maintain close contact with teachers and lecturers and facilitates cooperation and intercultural exchange among fellow-students.

Tuition fee - 8,500 Euro

The tuition fee is 8,500 euros for the entire course, plus an additional semester fee of roughly 350 euros per semester (as of 08/2018). The semester fee covers your student ticket that entitles you to free public transportation in Bremen, as well as to Lower Saxony and Hamburg. Masters for pilots and engineers in the aviation-industry

Our Master Aeronautical Management program is designed for pilots and engineers. This full-time International Graduate Center (IGC) program is taught entirely in English and includes the following modules: Aviation Business Administration, Risk Management in Aviation, International Law and Aviation law, Simulation via Aviation Logistics Systems, Simulation and Modeling, Control Systems, Human Factors in Leadership. These modules are delivered by lecturers and professors with practical aviation industry experience. In line with our interdisciplinary focus, you will be taught using multiple techniques e.g. discussions, teamwork, seminars and case studies. As regards alternative language options, international students can also choose from a number of German-language courses at Hochschule Bremen as well as an international summer school.

International Student Assistance

Our International Student Assistance (ISA) assists you in different aspects of settling in: finding accommodation, handling visa applications, clarifing insurance queries and dealing with authorities both at home and abroad. This service is of course free of charge. Furthermore ISA regularly organizes excursions and events during your study in Bremen. They offer movie nights, sightseeing trips, a christmas party, BBQ and excursions to several cities.
