The Graduate Management Admission Test (called GMAT) is a standardized PC test designed as a criterion for admission to MBA and business degree courses. It uses various tests to assess skills like analytical writing, logical thinking, mathematical and verbal skills. The test is computer-adaptive, takes round about 3 hours and is accepted by colleges and universities worldwide. Scores range from 200 to 800 and the GMAT exam is administered by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).
At the International Graduate Center, the GMAT is not a requirement, but can be used in place of a language test such as TOEL and IELTS if these are not at hand.
For an MBA application to a business school or university in Germany at least a Bachelor's degree and proof of professional experience are required. In addition, application documents such as a CV, a letter of motivation and a letter of recommendation are required. In addition, proof of English language proficiency such as TOEFL or IELTS is necessary or a successful GMAT test if the applicant does not have a language test as the lessons at IGC are taught in English language.
