There are only three steps to enrollment at the IGC:
1. Get in contact with your program coordinator and have any questions you may have answered.
2. Collect your documents (and if necessary have them translated).
3. Apply Online.

Applications should be submitted via our online-application page. If you have any questions about the application process, are not able to apply online, or if technical problems occur, please contact our application team.
Submitting documents
If some of your documents are not be available at the time of application, you may hand them in later. Please make sure to submit these missing documents during enrollment at the latest. Please note that applications without supporting documents cannot be processed. You may also upload missing documents over the web-form if you have already applied.
Waiting List
The International Graduate Center may accept applications past the regular application deadline. If this applies, your application will be placed on a waiting list.
Within a period of three to four weeks after receipt of your application, you will be informed by e-mail about your admission or denial. Please note that applications can only be evaluated if they are complete.
Visa
If you are applying from abroad and you have received an admission for one of our programs, please make sure to take care of the visa procedure right away. It may take weeks before you will get an appointment at the German embassy.

In addition to the general requirements, special pre-requisites based on program of choice are listed below:
Full-time programs
Master in European Studies
- Bachelor´s degree in Political Science, Law, International Relations, Management, Economics, Business Studies, Global Management (or related; other degrees will be considered depending on their content covering - at least partly- the above)
- Usually one year of work experience. Proof of work experience/employer´s certificate required
- Essay demonstrating student‘s strong motivation for the program and career goals
- Letter of recommendation from an employer / university teacher

- Funding of 9,800 euros for tuition fee and ~800 euros/month for living costs
International MBA
For the specialisations: Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Finance & Investments, International Marketing, Management in Emerging Economies, International & Sustainable Management, and Human Resource Management
- Bachelor´s degree in business management* or its equivalent (210 ECTS)
- Minimum of two years post-graduate work experience. Proof of work experience/employer´s certificate required

* Please note that a business degree is required. If you have a technical background please apply for our MBA in European/Asian Management program. Exceptions might be made for applicants with long working experience in the management field.
MBA in International Tourism Management
- Bachelor´s degree, with a minimum of 10% business-related courses (official transcript of previous degree)
- One year of post-graduate work experience. Proof of work experience/employer´s certificate required

- Successful completion of the “International Degree Course in Aviation System Engineering and Management (ILST) B.Eng.” at the Bremen University of Applied Sciences or
- A comparable academic engineering degree and relevant practical experience as a pilot, in aircraft maintenance or in the aviation industry with a minimum of 1 year
