Your Master Aeronautical Management
Specialized knowledge of management in the aviation industry
Our Master Aeronautical Management program is designed for pilots and engineers. This full-time International Graduate Center (IGC) program is taught entirely in English and includes the following modules: Aviation Business Administration, Risk Management in Aviation, International Law and Aviation law, Simulation via Aviation Logistics Systems, Simulation and Modeling, Control Systems, Human Factors in Leadership. These modules are delivered by lecturers and professors with practical aviation industry experience. In line with our interdisciplinary focus, you will be taught using multiple techniques e.g. discussions, teamwork, seminars and case studies. As regards alternative language options, international students can also choose from a number of German-language courses at Hochschule Bremen as well as an international summer school.
Your Master's in Aeronautical Management prepares you for all positions in the aviation industry, at Airlines or aviation authorities.
International graduates can prepare their next career step thanks to Germany's Job-Seeking Visa.
Course of study
This master program consists of three parts: In semster 1+2 you will attend lectures and write your exams. Afterwards, you will write your Master's thesis.
In International Law/Airlaw we deal with the interpretation and application of national, supranational and international law (basics and methods) with regard to aviation and airlaw. Learn more
Air Transport Business Administration
Air Transport Business Administration deals with global air transport businesses and markets and international logistics. Additionally, students participate in practical trainings to prepare them to make an own economical decisions. Learn more
Human Factors in Leadership
Human Factors in Leadership aims to impart knowledge and methods in order to enable independent orientation in dynamic systems with variable regulations. Students will develop interdisciplinary problem solving strategies and will be able to adapt these in the field of engineering and aeronautical management. Learn more
Modelling and Simulation
The Modelling and Simulation module consists of a theoretical and a practical component: The introduction to simulation and simulators forms the basis for further training. In the practical part, students have to create an aircraft simulation model.
Risk Management in Airline Operation
The module Risk Management in Flight Operations introduces general principles of risk management and focuses in particular on the most important risk areas in aviation. This includes topics such as the human factor and the human-machine interface.
Simulation of Logistic Aviation Systems
The Aviation System Simulation module is based on the principles of air traffic management. This involves understanding and applying the interdependence between the different parties in the aviation industry. This will enable students to understand the role and interconnectedness of aircraft manufacturers, airlines, air traffic control systems, airports and statutory authorities.
