The International Graduate Center (IGC) - a well-established academic institution - offers young professionals from abroad with a first university degree and first professional experience a variety of master and MBA programs. The IGC is part of the Graduate & Professional School of the Bremen University of Applied Sciences (HSB) and was founded in 1995.
The one to two-year full-time programs in English with different study focuses are practice-oriented and very international. In the winter semester 2022/2023, a total of more than 400 students from 29 nations are registered at the IGC in Bremen.
The MBA and Master's programs are aimed specifically at young professionals who wish to develop their careers and looking forward to work in management positions in the future. The basic requirements are a completed first university degree and at least one year of professional experience.

In line with the profile of the Bremen University of Applied Sciences the International Graduate Center stands for true internationality. With currently more than 400 students from a total of over 60 nations, our campus in the heart of the city Bremen offers a unique intercultural diversity and at the same time a very personal, familiar environment with diverse opportunities to encounter.
The IGC has a number of partner universities around the world for each degree program. Cooperations and excursions are firmly integrated in the curriculum. In addition IGC is a partner of the International Business School Alliance (IBSA) with partner universities in France, Spain, and the USA. Together the alliance offer with the International MBA program a unique MBA program with a double degree.

International Student Assistance (ISA)
The International Graduate Center offers individual study counseling and a comprehensive study service to accompany you during your studies.
The contact person of the respective study program is available to answer all your questions concerning your planned studies. Counseling sessions can be arranged upon individual request. International applicants also have the opportunity to make use of our support service.
The IGC's International Student Assistance (ISA) office will assist you from the very beginning and answer all your questions about your planned study stay in Bremen in advance.
The German accreditation system stipulates that all degree programs are subject to an accreditation which focuses on the assessment of the concept. Re-accreditations must take place at intervals of several years. All programs of IGC are accredited by AQAS or ZEVA.
Furthermore the IGC is a member of two highly respected international business school accreditation agencies and owns different program accreditations:
- the Business Education Alliance AACSB and the
- European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD)
Our International MBA degree program (IMBA) was recently accredited by EFMD. This is because quality assurance of our academic teaching by professional agencies is very important to us.
