Once you are on campus, ISA will help you get everything you need done. Next to enrolling we will guide you through the most important stages of settling in:

• Enrollment
• Registration office (city registration)
• Opening of a bank account
• Clarification of your health insurance

Why is a residence permit required?

Students who are not citizens of an EU country and want to study or work in Germany for a certain period of time need a so-called residence permit.
This permit must be applied for at a German embassy or consulate before entering Germany. We help with this with our service.

Pick-up service from the airport or train station: Let us know your arrival time and our ISA team will be happy to welcome you at the airport or at the train station. A friendly face is the best way to start your stay in Germany! You can share your impressions and first questions directly after your arrival. Bremen has a commercial airport, called "Bremen Airport", which is located close to the city center. The tram stops right in front of the terminal.

Our ISA team organizes various activities to help you get to know our city in the north of Germany and meet your fellow students. Orientation weeks are often offered by and for individual departments at many universities in Germany. They are designed to help first-year students get off to a smooth start. Our motto at IGC is, as the people of Bremen say, "Buten un Binnen", which means that you will see Bremen from the outside and, of course from the inside. We will not only show you the campus, but also introduce you to Bremen as a whole.

Excursions, parties, and cultural events - you name it. ISA regularly organizes events for IGC students. Join in and get to know the students from other programs as well. So join us for get-togethers, sightseeing tours, the Christmas party, the annual BBQ and excursions to several cities. In addition to hard work, studying abroad is also about experiencing the culture and having fun.
