Master's degree at the IGC: Business competence in the digital age

Networking during your studies is a great way to grow as a person and as a professional. Building connections with other students, faculty, and industry professionals can open doors to new opportunities, collaborations, and insights that enhance your educational experience. Your Master's degree will be so much richer for sharing other perspectives and experiences. Part of the degree is sharing knowledge, gaining different perspectives and staying up to date with trends and advances. A strong network will support you during your studies and can serve as a valuable resource when entering the job market. Ultimately, networking fosters relationships that can lead to mentorship, internships and job offers, making it a crucial part of a successful academic journey.

Close to practice - the perfect mix of theory and practice

Company Talks

Practical insights? Absolutely! Company Talks are an integral part of our programs. Representatives from companies or associations share exclusive insights directly from their day-to-day work. This is not dry theory, but a real business life! This look through the keyhole into reality is packed with case studies, current trends and tips that are hard to find in textbooks. This allows IGC students to make direct contacts and makes their entry into professional life that little bit more tangible.

Company Visits

Company visits complement our study programs. They are the window to the job and combine academic theory with applied practice. Nothing replaces a personal insight into how different industries work. How are the concepts from the classroom applied in the real world? What role does the individual corporate culture play? What operational processes and challenges do companies face today?

On the site, students and experts meet and discuss the industries. Questions are asked and valuable contacts are made: company visits not only inspire, but show possible career paths and help to identify interests and strengths.

Internships

Internships are invaluable for gaining hands-on experience in a real work environment. They bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, allowing individuals to understand the dynamics of the workplace. They also serve as a stepping stone into a company, as many organizations prefer to hire candidates who have already demonstrated their skills during an internship. A successful internship can lead to job offers, networking opportunities and a stronger resume, ultimately improving career prospects.

Field Trips

Whenever it is helpful, we try to incorporate field trips into our programs. These visits to leading companies will give you a glimpse into the DNA of companies. Learn why Germany's mid-sized companies are so successful. Field trips combine theory and practice, and provide on-the-ground insights. Some trips may also take you abroad, enhancing your learning and global perspective.
