As a student of the IBSA Dual Degree Master's Program specializing in Human Resource Management, you will spend your first semester at the IGC in Bremen. For your specialization you will continue your studies at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK. The British partner program MSc in Global Business prepares you for a career in the fields of human resources and business management. In order to be ready for the challenges of your future career, the University recommends active participation in four modules. The elective courses offer you an innovative and experimental range of learning methods. An example is participation in a simulation game.

Upon completion of this postgraduate management degree, you will earn your Master’s in Business Administration. The title of MBA is internationally renowned in business and stands for hands-on management education and leadership training. You will also earn a second degree from the University of Hertfordshire (MSc).

Please be advised that while it is possible to complete your degree without any German language knowledge, most local jobs will require German skills. The tuition fee is around 16,000 euros for the entire program. At IGC, there is also an additional semester fee of roughly 350 euros per semester (as of 08/2018). The semester fee covers your student ticket that entitles you to free public transportation in Bremen, as well as to Lower Saxony and Hamburg. Semester overview

Multinational Financial Management

The goal of the course is to train highly effective global managers who have advanced analytical and decision-making skills essential for conducting successful business across borders.


Global Marketing Strategies

The course adresses marketing performance in a global context. It assesses differences in country environments and applies techniques for international market segmentation, entry strategies, risk analysis, and comprehensive marketing plans.


Business Analytics

This module aims to introduce students to business analytics concepts required to understand contemporary business challenges. Analytical techniques will be applied to assess and resolve some of the complex challenges faced by business professionals in global industries.


International Leadership (elective)

The main objective of the module Leadership is to give the course participants a general leadership overview, to explore their individual leadership styles and set feasible goals for developing their management skills.

Strategic Human Resource Management

While traditional Human Resource Management focuses on recruitment and retention of highly skilled employees and on fostering their advancement, the module Strategic Human
Resource Management (SHRM) goes one step further. In this module, you will learn the responsibilities of Human Resources in line with overall corporate performance and performance the goals of other departments. The module introduces you to the origin of the SHRM and explores various theoretical models as well as key topics and current discussions.

Managing Across Cultures

Managing Across Cultures provides an in-depth understanding of intercultural communication. The aim of this course is to improve the business communication skills of multicultural teams through research of various cultural theories. Upon successful completion, you will be able to work effectively interculturally.

Organizational Behavior

In this module, you will learn the basics of efficient organizational management. Afterwards, you will analyze various related topics in order to develop an understanding of the origin of the theories. These include, for example, personality, attitude, decision-making and motivation, as well as group behaviors such as communication, leadership, negotiation, conflict, culture and other organizational structures.

Postgraduate Research Methodology

To enhance your research skills, this module explores various models and concepts for developing management skills and capacities. At the same time, you are an active part of shaping the course content. You can choose from topics such as communication, teambuilding, negotiation, presentation, creativity, critical thinking, leadership, consulting and coaching.

Our International Student Assistance (ISA) assists you in different aspects of settling in: finding accommodation, handling visa applications, clarifing insurance queries and dealing with authorities both at home and abroad. This service is of course free of charge. Furthermore ISA regularly organizes excursions and events during your study in Bremen. They offer movie nights, sightseeing trips, a christmas party, BBQ and excursions to several cities.
