With currently about 300 students from more than 40 nations, our campus in the heart of the city offers a unique intercultural diversity and at the same time a very personal, familiar environment with many opportunities to meet.

IGC has a number of partner universities around the world for each degree program, with collaborations and excursions firmly anchored in the curriculum. International Accreditation

IGC is a member of two highly respected international business school accreditation agencies - the AACSB's Business Education Alliance and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). Our international master's programs are seeking the prestigious EFMD program accreditation in addition to the existing German accreditation.

In September 2022, the IMBA program was EFMD-accredited for five years. This quality seal documents the quality and excellence of exceptional study programs. IMBA is only one of two MBA programs in Germany to receive this top accreditation.
Our cooperation partners in the IBSA network are also highly accredited, both nationally in their home countries and internationally (AACSB, EFMD and/or AMBA).

Internal Accreditation

As a system-accredited higher education institution, Hochschule Bremen is authorized to accredit its study programs in internal procedures. The processes of internal accreditation were examined in the course of the system accreditation procedure and found to be suitable for reviewing the quality of the study programmes, taking into account the relevant external criteria. Approval for internal accreditation was granted by the accreditation agency AQAS. What does accreditation mean?

Accreditation is a quality assurance process of new study programs. Program accreditation examines an individual study program, i.e. a specific course of study including content and procedures. It thus serves as a signal of the high quality of a study program.

Students can be assured that they are investing in a high-quality education. On the other hand, accreditation is also a seal of quality for potential employers. If the higher education institution enjoys a good reputation and can point to accredited programs, this also signals the quality of the graduates to a company.

Evaluation in Study and Teaching

In order to continuously improve the quality of our degree programs, we use a variety of tools to further develop our learning content and didactics. This quality management concept includes regular student surveys on faculty, courses, and the entire study program. The feedback then flows directly into the design of courses. Our students are actively involved in the evaluation of our programs and are given the opportunity to make lasting improvements. In addition, each year we present a "Teaching Award" to the best professors as voted by the students, and a “Student Award" to the most successful students at the IGC. These awards recognize and promote successful study and high-quality teaching at IGC.
