This name change will apply to students starting in the winter 2026/2027 semester. The new name reflects the program's focus on providing a practice-oriented, international MBA for experienced young professionals with a non-business academic background and leadership aspirations. It emphasizes the program's strategic realignment, which includes an increased focus on decision-making in leadership positions and top-level management. Graduates will be qualified for demanding management tasks, known as “executive functions.”
Further developments in two modules
In line with the MBA in Executive Management's focus, two modules have changed:
Managing Global Economics and Business
(formerly European / Asian Management I)
In this module, students learn about institutional structures, their economic foundations, and the framework conditions for international business activities. They will become familiar with the opportunities and challenges that international companies face and develop an understanding of the cultural and political differences that influence business operations. The module provides a comprehensive overview of the global economy and management tasks in this environment.
Strategic International Relations & Business Practice
(formerly European / Asian Management II)
This module examines country interfaces in the global economy. Students learn about the most significant challenges that companies face in today's interconnected world. They also gain an understanding of the development, objectives, and strategies of foreign trade policy from the perspective of international relations. They learn about the diversity of economic and political systems in different regions and analyze how currencies, trade agreements, and international institutions influence the global business environment. As part of a study trip to Luxembourg, students examine the European business environment and EU institutions.
The new MBA in Executive Management program and its accompanying curricular adjustments reflect our aim to optimally prepare experienced specialists and managers for the next step in their careers in top management within an international business environment. We are confident that these changes will enhance the learning experience and significantly increase the program's overall value.
