Sannae Kapoor is not just an excellent student. The 30-year-old volunteers at the Sikh Association of Germany in her free time. There, she cooks and distributes food to people in need in Hamburg and Bremen. She also works for the German-Indian Society. Yoga has had a profound influence on her outlook on life. As a yoga teacher, she offers courses. Sannae Kapoor is also a fan of the Indian film industry, Bollywood, and has held a dance workshop on the topic at IGC.
“Receiving this award motivates me to continue my work”
"Receiving this award is not only recognition of my achievements, but also motivation for me to continue working to promote intercultural understanding and the well-being of the community in Germany," says Sannae Kapoor. “I am convinced that education and community life are inextricably linked,” says the IGC student. "I grew up with the values of seva (selfless service) and intercultural respect. I see volunteering not only as a way to give back, but also as an opportunity for personal and professional growth. Every project I participate in has opened up new perspectives for me, taught me humility and strengthened my sense of belonging to Germany as my second home.”
IGC offers students a multicultural environment
Sannae Kapoor is studying for an MBA in European/Asian Management at IGC at Hochschule Bremen (HSB). "Coming to Germany and completing this MBA was an important milestone for me," she says. “The program has offered me numerous opportunities to develop both academically and personally in a multicultural environment. I had the opportunity to interact with students from different cultural backgrounds, which broadened my horizons and deepened my understanding of global cooperation. Life at HSB is also enriching beyond the academic sphere, as HSB organizes various local events and excursions that help us feel at home far away from home." After graduating, she would like to work in Germany or Europe.
