A travelogue by student Monica Bindenahalli Mahendra
We had the privilege of spending a few eye-opening days in Luxembourg – and what a journey it was!
The heart of the EU in Luxembourg's European Quarter
Our trip kicked off with the “Europa Experience”, an interactive exhibition that deepened our understanding of how EU institutions work and how policies shape our daily lives. The simulations and immersive media brought the European decision-making process to life.
Statistics and data about Europe
We then visited Eurostat, the EU's statistical office, where we got a behind-the-scenes look at how reliable, high-quality data informs policy across Europe. Seeing the impact of data-driven governance firsthand was incredibly insightful.
Where finance and technology interact
At LHoFT (Luxembourg House of Financial Technology), we connected with forward-thinking fintech startups that are transforming financial services with innovative, tech-driven solutions. From blockchain to digital banking, we saw the future of finance in action.
Short trip to France
We wrapped up our journey with a visit to Metz, France, a beautiful city rich in culture and charm. It was the perfect way to reflect on our experience and enjoy time with classmates in a more relaxed setting.
We're grateful for the learning, the conversations, and the unforgettable memories. We're especially grateful to our Program Coordinator, Dr. Mihaela Jucan, for such an eye-opening and well-organized business tour. Also big thanks to Antony Martini (Head of Education & Talent – LhoFT) for arranging such insightful sessions.
