International Graduate Center

Planning your career

Where to go from here?

The MES program helps students to plan and start their careers in many ways.

The curriculum provides sound preparation for careers in European and international businesses, institutions and administrations, or for further research. Graduates have a broad field of opportunity to choose from, including economic and legal adviser activities, positions in private and public management, lobbying activities, political offices and functions, and in the diplomatic service. Students from outside Europe find excellent job opportunities worldwide with companies, banks and organizations cooperating with European partners.

The international set-up of the program confronts students with the need to cope with the cultural and individual differences that arise in a multicultural setting, familiarising them with working across cultures and working in international teams. Courses in intercultural management, team building and presentations skills prepare them for international careers.

In the second semester, a class in Career Planning helps students to identify their skills and future careers, to develop CVs and to master job interviews. The MES team also offers individual career advice. In addition, the MES Career Planning Forum  brings together students and EU practioners. Students can profit tremendously from the experience and advice of EU practitioners and experts working in the field.

The knowledge and skills that you will gain will prove to be an excellent investment in your future!
