A Glance at the History of IGC

The first MBA degree program at the Hochschule Bremen was launched in 1995. the fist full-time version followed two years later. In 2004, after almost a decade of experience with executive education programs, the International Graduate Center was founded. Right from the very beginning, the IGC set out to adapt its teaching to the conditions and the needs of students and society. The result was a home for internationally oriented students who wanted to further their education.

The goal has always been clear: to provide an optimal and far-reaching service that prepares students for leadership.

Today: Internationality, Quality and Practical Relevance

IGC's technical focus is on business, management and leadership. The institution is fully accredited and thrives on its diversity, which comes from the diversity of its students and faculty, as well as from the international orientation with International Business School Alliance, dual degrees and partner universities. In addition, the Graduate Center is characterized by its friendly and welcoming atmosphere and its practical relevance for companies. All these aspects have made IGC  the successful institution and brand that it is today with a wide range of master's programs, nearly 300 students from 40 countries and about 25 employees.
